​Public Works Maintenance / Animal Control Opportunity​

​

The City of Somerset is now accepting applications for a Public Works Maintenance / Animal Control position.

​

This position plays an important role in helping maintain City facilities, parks, public spaces, and supporting animal control operations throughout the community. Responsibilities include facility and grounds maintenance, landscaping, equipment upkeep, animal care, and assisting with City events.

​

The ideal candidate is dependable, motivated, able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and works well with both coworkers and the public. Some manual labor or construction-related experience is preferred. A valid Texas driver’s license is required.

​

Qualifications:

​

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License required

  • Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors

  • Must be able to pass required testing and background checks
